The KOSMEK KOLP PV Series is the specialized "Air Type" solution for protecting 2-point or 4-point presses (double-crank presses) against deviated loads. Similar to the PH series, the PV Series allows for flexible overload pressure setting via an air regulator. 📘Introduction to KOSMEK KOLP PV Series
The KOSMEK Overload Protection System (KOLP) PV Series (Air Type Multi-Load) is an advanced protection solution, specially designed to counter eccentric loads on presses with wide slides, such as 2-point or 4-point presses.
Similar to the standard PH series, the PV Series is an "Air type," allowing the operator to flexibly set the overload pressure via an air regulator. The key difference is its eccentric load protection capability: when one of the overload cylinders (O.L.C) is overloaded, the PV system will instantly release oil from all cylinders simultaneously, protecting the machine from serious damage caused by uneven load.

⚙️Operating Principle (PV Series Eccentric Load Protection)

- Preparation: The built-in pump (type 16) supplies preset pressure (preload) to all overload cylinders (O.L.C). This pressure is controlled by the pilot valve and the set air pressure.
- Eccentric Load Detection: When the press experiences an eccentric load, the pressure in one O.L.C (e.g., O.L.C 1) spikes.
- Simultaneous Release: When the pressure in O.L.C 1 exceeds the air pressure set threshold, the pilot valve opens. The check valve prevents this high pressure from flowing back to O.L.C 2. Hydraulic oil from the pilot valve activates the opening of all Main Valves simultaneously.
- Emergency Stop: Hydraulic oil from all O.L.C.s is released at the same time. Simultaneously, the pressure switch releases an "OFF" signal to stop the machine, protecting it from damage due to eccentric load.
